This is the fourth vintage to be released of our multi award winning single vineyard Chardonnay. This wild-ferment Chardonnay has been matured on its lees in old French oak for nine months.
Expect aromas of cooked apple and toasted hazelnuts with a background note of butter. The palate has more fresh apple flavours, a smooth texture and long finish.
"This lightly oaked Chardonnay is considered to be one of England's finest white wines. "
Harvested by hand, the grapes were whole bunch pressed before undergoing wild fermentation. The wine was then fermented in French oak barrels for nine months to enhance the delicacy of the fruit character.
One of three Best In Show winners from the Decanter World Wine Awards - it simply doesn't get better than that.
We'll leave it there and let the wine do the talking.
Serve With: An ideal pairing to Rye Bay scallops in garlic butter or grilled lemon sole.
"In blind tastings more than one have been fooled in thinking it's a grand Burgundy. Honoured to have it on our tasting menu." -
"Kit's Coty 2014 is masterly, evoking a well-fed wine brimming with nerve, verve, generosity and an elongated finish. While our sparklers are already good enough to rival the French, it looks like we're entering the realms of Bordeaux-beating wines." - Douglas Blyde, Food & Travel Magazine July 2017
"Kit's Coty is a superb vineyard producing Chardonnay to rival those of Chablis. It has a brilliant, bright freshness, wrapped up in a warm cocoon of smooth crème fraiche and newly-baked bread, slathered with ripe apple puree." - Oz Clarke, The Independent April 2017
