A great example of a classic English sparkling wine.
An elegant English sparkling wine with aromas of red apple, lemongrass and freshly baked bread together with hints of strawberry and quince on the palate and fine persistent bubbles.
After hand harvesting, the fruit undergoes cool fermentation followed by full malolactic fermentation. The wine then matures on its fine lees in tank for six months. Once bottled, the wine is then aged on its lees for approximately 18 months.
This is the most popular English Sparkling wine on the market. Chapel Down have been working their socks off to produce enough of this fantastic wine to meet demand. Happily, they have doubled production and the recent immaculate harvests in England have helped keep the quality high and higher still.
Grapes: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Meunier
Food pairing: Chapel Down Brut is ideal as an aperitif or a perfect pairing to the British classic - fish and chips.
